When flagged, these users are automatically moved into “Teen Accounts,” which limit who can contact them, what content they see, and require parental approval for changes. The company says it’s using signals like birthday posts and user reports to detect fake adult accounts. Over 54 million teens have been enrolled globally, and 97% of 13–15-year-olds have stayed in these protected spaces.
